Well, we’ve done the first residential trip at GooseBumpy called ‘2024 Summer Camp’.
Well….., I can say we’ve successfully made the Camp because kids told us they enjoyed it a lot!
There were lots of activities for them, such as shower climbing, insect hunting, cooking dinner, watermelon smashing, etc…they were very energetic during Summer Camp. But I’m sure they must have been exhausted and slept well after the Camp.
If you’ve read the column Lloyd wrote last month, he wrote “residential trips are a great way for young people to learn many things”.
After this sentence, he also wrote some great points of the trips, such as “independence”, “team building skills”, “leadership skills”, “self-confidence”, etc…I’ve actually seen our students learning and improving those!
Also, a parent told us that the student got motivated to come to the normal lesson because he found out using English in the Camp was fun!
That was a fantastic feedback from the students that joined the Camp!
As Lloyd mentioned in the last column, we will release the advertisement for the “trip to England for the next year” soon!
I think it will be a very exciting experience for our students!!

サマーキャンプ2！！
さて、（生徒たちの）初めてのグースバンピィーの宿泊旅、“2024サマーキャンプ”が終わった。
えーーと･･･、子供たちがすごく楽しんだと話してくれたので、キャンプは成功したと言えるでしょう！
シャワークライミング、虫取り、夕食の料理、スイカ割りなどといった、彼らのためのすごくたくさんのアクティビティーがありました。
生徒たちはサマーキャンプの間すごく元気いっぱいでした。
だけど、キャンプの終わった後は疲れきっていてすごく良く寝たんじゃないかと思います。
もし、先月のロイドのコラムを読んでいただいていれば、こう書いていました。
“泊まり旅は若者にとって、多くのことを学べるすばらしい方法だ”と。
この文章の後には、そのたびのすばらしい点をいくつか書いていました。
“自立”、“チームで協力するスキル”、“リーダーシップのスキル”、“自分に自信を持つこと”など･･･。
私は実際に生徒たちがそのようなことを学び向上していくところを目の当たりにしました！
しかも、ある親御さんが、息子さんがキャンプで英語を使うのが楽しかったので、普段のレッスンに来るモチベーションもあがったとおしえてくださいました！
それって、キャンプに参加してくれた生徒からの最高の感想です！
ロイドが先月のコラムでお知らせしたように、私たちはもうすぐ、“来年の（生徒の）イギリスの旅”のお知らせを始めます！
それは、生徒たちにとってとってもワクワクする経験になると思います！！
