English is really useful!!
As a school student, I wasn’t sure why I had to remember tons of English words and grammar.
One day, I’d regretted I should have studied harder with more passion.
There might be some parents hoping their kids don’t regret like I did.
As an English teacher now, I’ve always been excited for our students when they had a chance to communicate in English especially overseas.
But I’ve shocked recently because there are so many foreigners all over Japan!
When I visited Osaka and Hokkaido, I saw many Japanese people struggle to communicate in English.
I know it’s hard to realize because we live in Tottori.
Wait a second!
Isn’t this a great opportunity for our students?!
They can get more chances to use English in Japan as not so many people can speak English. Also in the future, more English speakers will be needed for different types of jobs. It will be great thing for our students!
And don’t worry, adult students!
It’s not too late if you have a passion!
Though the new world in which we have to use English is right there.
Let’s keep it up together!!
And more importantly, speaking English can make your life more fun and exciting!

英語ってとっても役立つ！！
学生の頃は、大量の英単語と文法をなぜ覚えなければいけないのかよくわからなかった。
で、あるときもっと真剣に一生懸命勉強しておけばよかったって後悔。
お子さんに私のように後悔をしてほしくないと思われる保護者の方もおられるかもしれませんね。
現在英語の先生として、うちの生徒さんたちが、特に海外で英語で会話する機会があると、私は彼らのことを思っていつもワクワクするんです。
ですが、日本中にすごくたくさんの外国人がいて最近すごく衝撃を受けました！
大阪と北海道を訪れたとき、英語でコミュニケーションをとるのに困惑しているたくさんの日本人を目にしました。
鳥取に住んでいると信じがたいですよね。
あれ、ちょっと待って！
これって、うちの生徒さんたちにはすごくいい機会なんじゃないの？！
世間では英語を喋れる人がそれほど多くないから、日本に居ながら、英語を使う機会をもっとたくさん持てる。
さらに将来的にも、より多くの英語を話せる人材がさまざまな職業で必要とされるでしょう。
それって生徒さんたちにとってすばらしいことだと思う！
大人の生徒さんたちもご心配なく！
情熱があれば遅すぎることはありません！
だけれど、英語が必要不可欠な新世界はもうすぐそこ。
一緒にがんばっていきましょう！！
もっと大事なことは、英語を話すことで人生がもっと楽しくワクワクしたものになるということですね！
