What a trip!!
My trip back to the UK was amazing!
It was even better than I thought it would be.
It was a very busy schedule, racing all over England and Wales to meet friends and family, going to parties, attending weddings, hiking and of course going to the pub!
Also the weather was surprisingly fantastic, the UK had a heatwave.
It was the hottest September on record!
It was unbelievably good to see everyone but I was a little shocked, everyone looked older!
It had been a long time since I saw some people.
They had changed but I guess so have I.
I left England 20 years ago and for the first time I realized I was a little homesick.
I have a great life here in Japan but I do miss England, I miss the smell of my city, I miss the people, I miss the culture especially the jokes.
People know how to have fun in England!
I won’t leave it so long before going back next time.
Maybe I will go back again next year.
I hope I can.

いや～大変な旅行だったよ
里帰りの旅は最高だったよ。
僕が思っていた以上にね。
イギリスとウェールズを家族や友達に会うために駆け回って、パーテイー行って、結婚式に出席して、そしてもちろんパブにも行って、それはそれは忙しい日程。
加えて驚いたことにお天気最高！！
イギリスは熱波が訪れ9月の最高気温を記録したんだ。
みんなに会えるのは信じられないくらい素晴らしい事で、でもちょっとショックなことにみんな少し年取ってて、、、会うの随分久しぶりだったからな～。
みんな変わっちゃったけど、きっと僕もそうだし、、、。
20年前にイギリスを後にして、初めてちょっぴりホームシックになったって、気づいたよ。
日本で素晴らしい日々を送ってるけど、地元が恋しくて、家族が恋しくて、文化や、特にジョークが恋しいな。
イギリスの人は楽しみ方を知ってるからね。
今度帰るまで、そう長く期間をあけるつもりはないよ。
多分来年かな。
そう出来たらいいな。
